A new approach to a TEDxWomen event.
Our aim for TEDxWellingtonWomen was to have gender-parity in the audience.
To achieve this tickets were sold in pairs with the request that buyers brought someone with them that identified as having a different gender. This approach was about getting more variety in ‘voices and ears around the table’.
With over a 100 souls in attendance we certainly achieved that broad spectrum of representation including age and backgrounds—thank you Wellington for making it the success it was (see video above).
Huge thanks to our main activation partner Powershop plus workshop facilitators InsideOut and CoLiberate. Appreciation to our venue sponsor Wellington City Council and deep waist bows to other event partners, including, NW Group, Zealong Tea, Mojo, Tuatara, Global Wines & Beverage, The Big Picture.
